Sing, perform, Baltic, Art, The Sick Childrens Trust, fundraising, Newcastle, Jesmond,

We’re so used to spending our time in sweats and hoodies for class that it’s a real treat to put our gladrags on and spruce up for a change! And there’s no better reason to go glamorous than The North East Snowflake ball – a black tie (i.e. totally fancypants) event to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust.

We know how important it is that children have social and emotional support; it’s one of the reasons we like to think of Famous as more than just dance classes. The ‘home from home’ project offered by The Sick Children’s Trust provides that very same support, as well as accommodation, for families with a seriously ill child. We can’t imagine how difficult those times must be but know, even from our very limited experience, the value of a warm, welcoming, safe and supportive space. Because of this, it was an honour and a privilege to take part in the fundraiser at the Baltic. Not only was it incredible to sing in such a fantastic venue but it was also loads of fun welcoming guests to the event.

Thank you for having us, and we’re so pleased people dug deep – over £10,000 raised! – for this really excellent cause.
